Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula Chauffeur Tours
Come and experience the world-renowned driving route, The Ring of Kerry. This chauffeur tour along the Wild Atlantic Way takes you from Killarney in an anti-clockwise direction, passing the towns and villages of Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Caherciveen, Waterville, Caherdaniel, Sneem and Kenmare.
Killarney as your starting point boasts the beautiful Lakes of Killarney, with the towering MacGillycuddy Reeks mountains as a backdrop. Killarney was first made popular in tourism circles by the visit of Queen Victoria in 1861 and included a stay in the iconic Muckross House, in the heart of Killarney National Park.
From here, we pass through Killoglin town, home of the famous Puck Fair. Onto Glenbeigh village, beside Rossbeigh strand. From here, we take the spectacular coastal route past Caherciveen and Waterville towns, before driving over Coomakista Pass and down into the quaint village of Caherdanial, home of ‘The Liberator’ Daniel O’Connell.
From here, we travel along the south coast of the Iveragh Peninsula to the little village of Sneem before the picturesque town of Kenmare.
You will drive back to Killarneythrough the famous Killarney National Park, passing its well known scenic locations such as Molls Gap, Ladies View and Torc Waterfall.
The Dingle Peninsula chauffeur tour is a firm favourite of our many guests. Once described by National Geographic as ‘the most beautiful place on earth’ and voted among the top 100 destinations in the world by Trip Advisor, the Dingle Peninsula is an enchanting location, filled with history, culture and heritage.
On the way we pass by Inch Beach that featured in the David Lean film, Ryan’s Daughter before driving into Dingle itself, a bustling, colourful town with its Marina and a host of shops, pubs and restaurants.
From Dingle town, we head west towards Slea Head with its magnificent views of the Blasket Islands. We call to Louis Mulcahy Pottery, where you will find the best Irish hand-made pottery and weaving, including woven scarves, throws and wall hangings.
Clogher Beach, near the Pottery provides stunning views of the Wild Atlantic, as it rolls in past Inis Tuaisceart, one of the Blasket Islands.
Wind your way down the incredible walkway of Dun Chaoin Pier, used by so many to row across to the Great Blasket Island in years gone by. Learn the history of the Blaskets in the Blasket Island Visitor Centre, where the stories of the islanders come to life.
Gallarus Oratory is another must-see location on our Dingle Peninsula tour. One of the most famous landmarks on the Peninsula, the Oratory is completely made of stone and some way it resembles an upturned boat. Various dates have been suggested for its construction but an exact date for same is not available. It is extremely well preserved and several archeological artifacts are to be found on it’s grounds.
